My Score: 2.5/5

Hey cinema lovers. I hope you are all doing alright. After receiving extremely high ratings from all of its audience and critics, Everything Everywhere All at Once is finally released and I watched it like two days ago(Wednesday). Actually, I wanted to write a review about the movie as soon as I came back home, however, due to my movie experience didn’t satisfy me, I decided to wait and think about the movie in order to write a non-biased review. Although I think about the movie for two days, my opinion is still the same about the movie. Anyway, let’s begin the review…

First of all, I want to say it wasn’t a bad movie at all. The script was great, the casting was alright, and it was definitely fun to watch. Before watching the movie, I was aware that the movie was also a comedy, however, I wasn’t expecting to see that many comedy scenes in the movie. There were so many references to other movies and, mostly, the references were well fitted into the movie. Moreover, I really liked the movie’s multiverse logistic as a person who is extremely bored from watching “superficial” multiverse stuff in superhero movies. However, in this blog, I will talk about the ways that I don’t liked in the movie more than I like. So, let’s continue with the things that I don’t liked about the movie.

Why I Didn’t Like the Movie

If you saw a movie that is extremely high rated like this, even if you are not waiting for an all-time masterpiece, you would definitely wait for a unique and great movie. However, this movie couldn’t meet my expectations even though I had no extremely high expectations before watching it.

First of all, the movie couldn’t end its story. Even though I liked the idea of the movie, the movie definitely has problems with its script due to it couldn’t end itself. The movie is trying to tell so many things at the same time. The movie is 140 minutes long, if it was maybe 120 minutes or 110 minutes long, it would be easier to watch.

Some critics were saying that the movie is the best movie of all time or some other things like that. However, I am not in the same idea as them. Even though the movie was alright, I can not even compare this movie with other sci-fi masterpieces. I don’t really know why this movie is so highly rated. I am planning to watch the movie for a second time so maybe my ideas can change, I don’t know. However, the movie is a disappointment for me, at least for now. I am saying disappointment because I expected different things from a movie that has extremely high ratings and positive reviews. Even though it was my first watch, I tried to pay attention to the cinematography of the movie, however, there were not so many important things that I can say about the cinematography of the movie. There is no need to talk about the music because there were really few songs in it.

Yes, it was fun, giving a new perspective to multiverse stuff, however, it wasn’t enough for me to count this movie as one of the best movies of all time. I just hope that maybe new movies about the multiverse can get inspiration from this movie and create new unique movies about parallel universes. It is my only motivation for this movie right now.

Thanks for reading my blog. I really want to know what you are thinking about the movie so I would be glad if you write your thoughts about the movie so we can discuss it in the comment section. Do not forget to share my blog page with your friends and don’t forget to like this blog if you liked it. Hope to see you in new movies and in new blogs :)
